Exactly where are we?
Blue Lagoon Beach Resort is located 47 nautical miles from the Fijian mainland, on Nacula Island, in the “blue Lagoon” part of the Yasawa Island Group. You really have 3 options. You can take the most common form of transport which is the Yasawa Flyer listed below – this is the large catamaran that ‘cruises’ up and down the island chain daily – one time up, and you guessed it, one time back, so the times are very much set in stone. It leaves the mainland at 8.30am towards the islands, and arrives back to the mainland every day at the same time of 6pm.
The other options are air – you can choose the more economical Turtle Air which offers per seat rates on their charters which you need to organise direct with them at FJ$300 p/p one way, or you can do what we affectionately refer to as the Rock Star arrival in either a private chartered seaplane or helicopter. Both these final options are approx. FJD$2000+ per way.
Getting Around on the Mainland
We will help to co-ordinate your transfers with you on the expected day of arrival to the resort, whether you are needing to go to the marina or need to organise a taxi to the seaplane. Our dedicated transfer team will automatically be in touch once your booking is confirmed and take it from there.
Seaplane Service Options
Turtle Airways offer per seat rates as below and you are subjected to their schedules, there is now also Pacific Island Seaplanes who offer charter services, this means that you pay more, but you get to specify the time that you fly. So please enquire with our Reservations Team if you need to know more.
Turtle Airways is happy to offer per seat rates on one of their many daily chartered flights to the islands. As we are a separate company, we do though rely on their confirmations and service, but we have been flying with them for 3 years now and can help you with all your plans.
The advantage is that you are often able to land into Nadi and then take the 15 minute ride to the Turtle Airway base located half way between the airport and Denerau.
The cost is around approx. $375 per person ONE WAY and will have you enjoying the most scenic ways to explore the yasawa island group and arriving at Turtle Island in just 30 mins!
We then come and collect you at a rate of $20 per person for your transfer over to Blue Lagoon Beach Resort.
Just contact the amazing Luke on +679 666 9452 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org and he can organise all the arrangements for you.
South Sea Cruises
“South Sea Cruises” operate a big yellow catamaran which departs Denaurau Marina once daily at 8.30am and arrives at the Blue Lagoon at 12.30 pm, and then returns to take guests back to the mainland, arriving back at Denaurau Marina at approx 5.45pm each day. You can of course purchase your tickets directly at the marina on the day of your schedule transfers, or we can do this for you. The one way trip is only NZ$114 p/p one way and children aged 5 yrs to 15 yrs are half price.
Remember, we are always happy to help you with any issues relating to your arrival or departure details.
